What exactly is SchoolPad.net?

SchoolPad.net is a program.
It is designed to allow educational institutions an easy way to
enhance the content on their web sites AND to serve as tools for
teachers and administrators. It is 100% web-based and not dependent
upon the school's servers. It allows teachers and administrators
the ability to log onto their password protected area and upload
their information, including images, homework assignments, a Calendar
of Events, Awards for students, and News. Their is also a Lesson
Plan module available which allows teachers to create Lesson Plans
from ANYWHERE (like from the convenience of their homes in the evenings),
and then access it the next day at school. Other modules will be
added as schools present the SchoolPad.net staff with constructive
feedback about the needs that exist. |

Why should I consider it?

Chances are VERY good that your
school does not have something like this.
- Can you update information, like Lesson Plans or homework
assignments, from home and then access it at school the next
day?
- Can you create web pages through
a web-based interface with instant uploads?
- Can you post homework assignments to your web page for the
entire week on Monday, but control on which days of the coming
week that each assignment appears on your homework page, all
done in one update?
- Can you post one event on the Calendar of Events, but cause
it to appear periodically (like the second Tuesday of each month,
for instance?)
It would be very unusual for your
school to have a program in place that performs all of the above
tasks and the others that SchoolPad offer. While many schools
have a scaled-down version of our program at the school
on the school's network, it is NOT accessible via the
web. Our site has been designed from the ground up with security
in mind, making it possible to create a safe, secure, and user-friendly
environment for School Administrators and Teachers. The program
is entirely web-based and requires NO web design knowledge, making
it the ideal tool for you as an educator.

My school already has a web site. Will this
replace it?

No, it will not replace your school's
existing web site.
The intention of our program was not to ever replace a school's
web site. We want to encourage the growth and education of web-oriented
technologies. Our system was designed as a way to enhance the
content that you already have and provide tools that are not readily
available. Many schools place links on their existing web site
to the school's associated content at SchoolPad.net.
For example:
http://www.schoolpad.net/calendar.php?LocationID=77
will link directly to Demo High School's Calendar of Events.
The "77" is your school's Location ID number. Similarly,
the awards, news & events, teacher pages, etc. can all be
linked to in this manner, making it easy to incorporate it into
your existing site.

What if I need tech support? Is it available
and does it cost extra?

Yes it is available by email or
phone and does not cost anything.
Our staff, including the programmers and the owners, are always
available to answer any questions you may have. You will find
that once you get familiarized with the SchoolPad.net program,
that it is VERY easy to use and user-friendly. Our management
and design department has painstakingly stressed ease of use from
the very beginning. Should you need assistance, however, we will
be glad to walk you through the program and address any issues
you may have.
We will even visit the school and provide on-site training if
necessary. On-site training may incur cost depending upon
the location of the school. Contact our staff about this if needed.
